Today In....

3Shades rating, Premiere Dates and Cancellation, and a PS4 delay.


....Movies

- Fifty Shades of Grey has officially been given a "R" rating. It was rated that for "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language."

- You will have to wait another year to purge. The Purge 3 has been delayed till July 1, 2016. That puts it against Tarzan and The BFG. 

- A new Chappie has dropped. The movie stars Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and more. It is directed by Neill Blomkamp and is set to be released on March 6th, 2015.



....Television

- Bates Motel and The Returned has received premiere dates. March 9 at 9 for Bates then The Returned at 10.

- Happyland is not so happy anymore. The series has been cancelled by MTV after one season. The drama followed the exploits (or rather the sexploits) of the staff of an amusement park.

- Fargo season 2 just got a stellar cast. The series added multiple Emmy winners Ted Danson and Jean Smart and Golden Globe nominee Patrick Wilson to their season 2 cast. Smart has been cast as Floyd Gerhard. While Danson will play Hank Larsson and Wilson takes on the role of Lou Solverson, who was played by Keith Carradine in Season 1. Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons were cast last month. Season two acts as a prequel taking place in 1979.

....Video Games

British developer Rebellion revealed a revamped third-person shooter bundle for PC, PS4 and Xbox One today, Zombie Army Trilogy. As the studio hinted in February 2014, the collection features both Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army and its sequel, stand-alone expansions of the developer's tactical shooter, Sniper Elite V2. The package also includes "the never-seen-before third installment in the series and a brand new horde mode."

- PS4 release has been delayed in China. The system was going to be released on January 11. SONY stated that they are holding the system back for "various factors" and that a new date has not been selected. No news if the Vita will also be delayed.

- Ninja Theory's Hellblade coming to PC as well as PS4. The game is currently an exclusive to PS4 on the consoles. How the PC will differ from the PS4 has not been revealed yet.
