Weekly Round Up- 12/22-12/26/14

Top stories of the week in movies, television, and video games.

Movies

SONY once again scores the top spot again. Them releasing The Interview on VOD and in more than three hundred theaters. Not counting VOD, the movie has made over $1M on Christmas.

Honorable mention goes to Star Trek 3. The movie got a release date and a director. Justin Lin,
famous for his Fast and Furious films, will direct the film that will be released on July 8, 2016.

Television

Marvel snagged another hero. Mike Colter landed the role of Luke Cage. He will appear in the upcoming Netflix series A.K.A. Jessica Jones, as well as the Luke Cage series and the Defenders series. And I for one, can't wait for these series.

Video Games

No story was bigger than the Christmas day DDOS attacks. The group called Lizard Squad as taken credit for the attacks. Though some of the trouble might have been because of a bunch of people trying to connect their new consoles for the first time.

Video of the Week

Ever heard of the Youtube Channel, The Game Theorists. Well if you haven't and you are a fan of video games, you should check it. MatPat, the guy behind it, takes something about a game and goes way to deep in it. His videos about Mario are a perfect example of that. But the videos that I'm putting here are about Five Nights at Freddy's and its sequel. They're a little creepy but I think you'll like them.
